So since I last posted, I’ve started working with Tate Liverpool to work in a series of pinhole photography workshops. part of this is having attendees build their own pinhole cameras. Figured I wanted to do something a bit different from the usual single shot 4×5″ box camera so started designing a 35mm version. Decided to laser cut it out of 3mm plywood and managed to fit the entire thing on a single sheet of 30x30cm ply to make manufacturing easier.

Took the files down to my local makerspace and borrowed one of their laser cutters and knocked up the prototype in an afternoon.

Running film through it at the moment to test out film types and pinhole size and shapes. I’ll make sure to post the results when I get it perfected.
